Preview: Hemel Hempstead Town

A look ahead to tonight's match against opponents Hemel Hempstead Town.

19/12/23

A quick turnaround for Slough Town sees Scott Davies’ men returning to action with a clash at Arbour Park against 17th placed Hemel Hempstead Town, writes Freddie Gatrell.

The Tudors have had a mixed season so far, but in recent weeks have struggled with their league form. Over their last five games, they have only won once, in their match against 21st placed Eastbourne Borough at the end of November. Since then, they have failed to pick up a point, with four straight defeats consecutively. The Rebels will be aware of the threat an out of form team can pose and will aim to return to winning ways themselves against the Hertfordshire based outfit.

The Tudors, under the management of Bradley Quinton, will aim to cause as many problems as possible for Scott Davies’ men this evening. The 45-year-old Quinton has vast experience at National League level, having previously managed at Braintree Town and Welling United. Quinton has proven to have what it takes at this level, having previously won promotion to the National League with Braintree, a season after their relegation. As well as being an experienced manager, Quinton was an ex-player, having played for Braintree, Enfield Town and Romford spanning an 18-year playing career.

Quinton’s side need inspiration in their current poor form. They are a side that are lacking in a consistent goal scorer. Joe Iaciofano has been finding the back of the net more frequently than most in recent weeks with a goal from the spot in Hemel’s most recent clash against Torquay United. A youth product from Northampton Town, the 25-year-old has proven to be a reliable goal scorer, with clubs such as Banbury United, Oxford City and Havant & Waterlooville.

Kick is at 7.45pm at Arbour Park, with live commentary courtesy of Rebels Radio as well as live social media updates on club social media accounts.
