Mickel Platt has decided to leave the club and will join Melbourne-based side Hume City in January.
Manager, Scott Davies commented: “It’s come as a surprise, but Mickel has decided to move on and join Hume City in the National Premier Leagues Victoria in Australia. He will be flying out on 6th January 2024 and will sign a professional contract.
“I’m delighted and disappointed at the same time. Delighted that Mickel is excited with the move, going and playing in another country and playing full time, but also extremely disappointed in the fact that he’s leaving us just as he was getting started. He’s a great lad and one that we will certainly miss having around the squad, but I’m genuinely pleased that he’s going to fulfil a dream of his by playing abroad.
“It’s important to note that Mickel will be part of our squad throughout December so we can still utilise him until we find an able replacement.
“I want to thank him and wish him well in the next chapter of his career.”
