Slough Town FC are proud to announce the launch of the new Slough Town Football Academy for the 2012/13 season.
Aimed at 16-18 year olds, this two year full time scheme offers talented young players the chance to turn their passion for football into a vocational qualification.
Under the management of Mark Betts and in association with SCL, a college and work based training provider, the Academy will be based at Farnham Park and together with the delivery of an educational programme all academy players will receive daily training from highly Qualified FA coaches.
The club is very excited about this as not only does the academy provide a pathway for footballers into senior football, but it also gives a qualification that will provide career and employment opportunities for young local people within various leisure, sport and educational industries. The qualification can also be used as entry into higher education at selected universities.
More detailed information about the scheme can be found under the new STFC Academy section.
