Preview: Rebels set for trip to Twerton Park

An update from Neil Baker ahead of the Rebels' first league match at Twerton Park in almost 22 years.

22/02/19

We make the trip to Twerton Park tomorrow hoping to build on a very good performance against Dartford last weekend.

We are very aware that we will be playing against a decent Bath City side who are in excellent home form, however after two away defeats on the bounce, we will go there looking to bring some points back to Berkshire.

In terms of squad news, the good news is Guy Hollis was able to train last night, and will come back into the squad.

However Ben Harris - who is currently in a knee brace - will have an MRI scan today which will allow us to find out the extent of the damage to his knee sustained against Dartford. It is expected to be MCL damage, which could signal the end of his season.

We will also assess the fitness of Chris Flood tomorrow.

We have been busy this week trying to bring a striker in, however we missed out on one target, and the experienced loan striker that we had planned to bring in has just picked up a foot injury and is expected to be out injured for 2 weeks, which has put that on hold.

We do have a couple of other options that we are looking at, however there will be no movement before the weekend.

Dan Roberts will continue playing with Windsor, which is helping aid his development, though we do believe he will feature at some point this season.

We will travel to Bath with the following 16-man squad:

Jack Turner, Sean Fraser, Josh Jackman, George Wells, Guy Hollis, Mark Nisbet, Sam Togwell, Simon Dunn, Billy Clifford, Lee Togwell, Matthew Lench, Warren Harris, Louie Soares, Manny Williams, Chris Flood and Tommy Wood.
