I am grateful for the opportunity and so happy to be back at a club that has already given me so many great memories - hopefully there will be more to come
Matthew Lench
After the news of James Dobson leaving today, we can announce the return of Matthew Lench to the club.
Obviously this may come as a surprise for some after the decision that was made in the summer regarding his future, however 'Lenchy' contacted us last weekend and expressed his desire to rejoin the club after his time away at Wealdstone. After a few conversations we agreed that he would come and train with us tonight, and we would sit down and have a discussion with myself and Jon.
We all know what Matthew can bring to us from a footballing point of view, and following a very positive conversation we are pleased to announce that he signed National League forms and will be part of the squad on Saturday (subject to paperwork being accepted).
Lench added the following comments:
“Since leaving Slough in the summer I have endured a few set backs with injuries and a lack of opportunity at Wealdstone. Having had a positive conversation this week with Neil and Jon they have offered me the chance to undertake a second spell at the club.
