We head to Gloucester tomorrow with only one point to show for our efforts so far despite two decent performances.
Our opponents lost on the opening day but won 1-0 at home on Tuesday against Oxford City and from what we have seen look another decent side with several players we have come up against in recent seasons.
The lads trained well last night and the atmosphere was very positive despite the frustrations of Tuesday night. We know if we continue to work hard and perform as we did on Tuesday that first win won’t be too far away.
Unfortunately Sam Togwell picked up a slight knee injury in a collision with the goalkeeper right at the end of Tuesday’s game and although he is recovering well tomorrow’s game will come too soon for him.
On a positive note Guy Hollis trained fully last night and returns to the squad along with James Dobson who is back after a short holiday.
Nathan Smart has signed on a dual registration basis with Hartley Wintney and will play for them tomorrow in their opening league game at Poole.
The support on Tuesday night was excellent. It was great to see so many travelling fans in their Slough colours and we hope to see a similar turnout tomorrow to cheer the lads on.
Squad: Jack Turner, Sean Fraser, Josh Jackman, George Wells, Mark Nisbet, Guy Hollis, Lee Togwell, Simon Dunn, Scott Davies, Warren Harris, Louie Soares, James Dobson, Ben Harris, Chris Flood, Manny Williams, Perry Coles.
