Jon Underwood thought that Saturday's 1-1 draw with Hampton & Richmond was a point gained, rather than two lost in the heat at Arbour Park.
On the opening day of the Vanarama National League South season, Zac Joseph gave the visitors an early lead but Warren Harris headed an equaliser on 25 minutes.
Slough had chances to take the lead in the second half but it ended honours even.
