Slough Town Juniors U16s are spending the week in Austria.

I am really indebted to COINS Foundation for their assistance in providing the boys with the opportunity to train and tour in Austria. It will be a great bonding exercise for the team and hopefully they will be able to pick up some useful technical skills on how to play against teams with a different way of approaching a match

Dave King, Slough Town Juniors U16s manager

Slough Town Juniors U16s today flew to Austria to train and play local teams in an event organised by COINS Foundation.

Eleven members of the squad made the trip to Hotel Birgkarhaus in Hochkonig, just 40 miles from Salzburg, a social enterprise of COINS Foundation which will play host to the young Rebels.

During their stay, Slough will take part in two matches with local Austrian teams as well as having a training session with Austrian coach Andreas Scherer.

The Rebels' first match kicks off at 16:30 (local time) tomorrow (Tuesday 24 July) when they play Altenmarkt with a training session on Wednesday before their final match on Thursday against Mühlbach im Pinzgau.

Speaking to www.coinsfoundation.org, Slough Town Juniors manager Dave King expressed his gratitude and explained why occasions like this are so important.

"I am really indebted to COINS Foundation for their assistance in providing the boys with the opportunity to train and tour in Austria.

"It will be a great bonding exercise for the team and hopefully they will be able to pick up some useful technical skills on how to play against teams with a different way of approaching a match."

We will bring you updates on the team's progress later in the week on our official website and social media channels.
