As you will have noticed if you attended the Dorchester game, Slough Town FC have now taken over the bar and catering provision at Arbour Park.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the Club to generate income and to provide a welcoming atmosphere, quality food and reasonably priced beer. We plan to work in partnership with Slough Borough Council to make this the very best facility we can both for our fans and also for the whole community.
To make the most of this opportunity we need more volunteers. On Tuesday you will have seen the 'usual faces' fulfilling the new roles, but we still have all of the usual jobs to do as well. So how can you help? We need people to volunteer in the kitchen, in the bar, at the turnstiles, help setting up for matches, clearing up afterwards and general assistance around the ground.
The idea is that the more people help out in small ways, the less we have to ask any one person to do. Most roles enable you to watch the football and are not overly taxing or physically challenging. So please give some consideration to whether you can help YOUR club on match days or even when Slough Town are away, as we will have have other functions to cover.
Do you know anyone else who may want to help out or gain some experience in a voluntary capacity?
We cannot do this alone - we need your help, so please come and see Kay Lathey on match days or email gensec@sloughtownfc.net to volunteer.
