Looking Ahead: Banbury United

Slough hope to maintain their good form as they travel to Banbury United tonight in EVO-STIK South Premier.

21/11/17

We travel to Banbury tonight (Tuesday) with limited numbers again as we look to continue our good form.

Our opponents have struggled a little at home this season in terms of results but they have some quality players in their ranks and we have no doubt it will be a tough test on a ground where we have lost on our last two visits.

On Saturday Sean Fraser twisted his ankle in the very first minute of the game and despite managing to complete 90 minutes his ankle has swollen badly since and he will not be fit for this game.

We only had 14 players in the squad on Saturday so with Sean's injury we have needed to bring in another player, and have signed former striker Adam Cornell on a Southern League form. Adam is currently in very good goalscoring form for Bracknell Town but as they have no game this week he has agreed to help us out and we are grateful to their manager Jeff Lamb for agreeing to this.

Alan Inns will have a fitness test before the game to see if he can be included having seen improvement in his ankle injury over the past week which means the 14/15 man squad will be as follows.

Squad: Jack Turner, Josh Jackman, George Wells, Nathan Smart, Guy Hollis, Mark Nisbet, Alan Inns, Lee Togwell, Nathan Webb, Simon Dunn, Matt Lench, James Dobson, Warren Harris, Chris Flood, Adam Cornell.

We are looking at making an addition to the squad due to the injury situation and put in a 7-day approach for a player at the end of last week. We will provide an update on this by the weekend.
