Slough will travel to Gainsborough with an 18-man squad for the FA Cup First Round tie.

FA Cup First Round day is almost here and we look forward with great excitement to our trip to Conference North side Gainsborough Trinity.

In terms of preparation we have left nothing to chance. We had several reports on Gainsborough anyway but last weekend Bakes missed our Trophy game to travel up and watch their game in order to get a first hand view of them.

Like ourselves, our opponents are currently on a very good run of form and will come in to the game full of confidence. With so much at stake and a large following expected from both sides it should be a cracking atmosphere and a really close fought game.

The squad will travel up to Lincolnshire this afternoon and will stay in a hotel tonight before making the final leg of the journey by coach tomorrow lunchtime.

Last night we trained well as you would expect with such a big game coming up. Everyone took part other than Alan Inns who unfortunately will be ruled out due to a thigh injury. Harrison Gilkes has started light training again but can't be considered just yet while our only other concern is Brad Wadkins who didn't complete the full session and we'll have to see how he is tomorrow.

Both Chris Flood and Gavin James trained well after their recent injuries which was great to see. With FA rules allowing 7 substitutes to be named, Mark Scott will be included on the bench to provide goalkeeping cover and the 18-man squad is therefore as follows:

Jack Turner, Josh Jackman, George Wells, Mark Nisbet, Guy Hollis, Nathan Smart, Sean Fraser, Lee Togwell, Nathan Webb, Simon Dunn, Matt Lench, Warren Harris, James Dobson, Manny Williams, Chris Flood, Gavin James, Brad Wadkins, Mark Scott.
