Looking Ahead: Kettering Town

Slough are preparing to make the trip to Latimer Park tomorrow for a huge top of the table clash against Kettering.

20/10/17

Tomorrow we make the journey to Latimer Park for a top of the table clash against Kettering, looking to exact some revenge for our opening day defeat.

Kettering have had a fantastic season so far, and with ourselves are one of the favourites for promotion. With six wins from six home league games we are under no illusion how difficult the game will be.

With the expected winds and rain this just makes it even more of a battle than it would be anyway.

In terms of team news, Warren Harris will miss out due to a tight hamstring that we are not willing to risk, and is likely that he will sit out Tuesday also.

Gavin James will go and get two lots of 90 minutes for Met Police in the Bostik Premier in a similar way to Brad earlier in the season, and he will then come back train with us on Thursday and be in the squad for the FA Trophy tie at Kidlington.

The good news is Simon Dunn managed to get through last night's session unscathed and has declared himself fit again, so will take a place in the 16, whilst Harrison Gilkes is also making good progress.

We are therefore picking from the following 16-man squad: Jack Turner, Josh Jackman, Nathan Smart, Sean Fraser, Guy Hollis, Mark Nisbet, Alan Inns, George Wells, James Dobson, Matthew Lench, Simon Dunn, Lee Togwell, Nathan Webb, Chris Flood, Manny Williams and Brad Wadkins
