We are delighted to announce the signing of 24 year old Matthew Lench from Hitchin Town.
Matthew can play in any attacking midfield positions, and gives us more excellent attacking options. He is technically very good, works hard, is good in the air and has a real eye for goal.
He is one that myself and Jon have really rated ever since we moved into the Southern Premier, and when we found out there was a chance he might be available we made him one of our top targets. We are delighted he is joining, as we really believe he can help us achieve our aims this season.
Having been with Hitchin for four seasons and scoring 16 goals last season - including the goal in the Playoff final - it was always going to be a difficult decision for him to leave Top Field, but hopefully we can go on to prove it to be the right decision.
