The two squads posed together prior to Saturday's match.

Former players of Slough Town FC laced their boots once again yesterday afternoon when they took part in the 2017 edition of the ‘Legends Day’ exhibition match – the first to be played at Arbour Park!

The two teams were managed by former Rebels players - and managers - Eddie Denton and Darron Wilkinson, with Wilko’s Ambers emerging victorious by a score of 5-2 over Denton’s Blues.

This was the third ‘Legends Day’ match organised by Debbie and Paul Lillywhite, and a crowd of around 150 contributed over £500 to Slough Town’s Community Clubs.

It was a fiercely contested affair, with Matt Miller and Christian Metcalfe giving the Ambers a 2-0 half time lead.

In the second half, Miller added another and Mark Bartley and Ryan Williams contributed further goals for the Ambers, with Leon Woodruffe and Craig O’Connor responding for the Blues.

Miller picked up the Man of the Match award to go with his brace.

The whole day was a great success and was enjoyed by players and fans alike.
