Last Sunday the PALS team took part in the final tournament of the season in Northampton and the day began with a 4-2 win over MK Ospreys (two goals from Brandon Sweeney and one apiece for Shawn Harding and Liam Watson).
A narrow 0-1 defeat to Northampton Town was followed by a comfortable 3-0 win against MK Panthers (Shawn Harding, Brandon Sweeney & Paul Wade), which confirmed us as worthy league winners having dominated throughout the campaign.
We completed the day with a scoreless draw and two further victories of 3-0 (Paul Wade 2, Brandon Sweeney) and 2-0 (Shawn Harding, Brandon Sweeney).
This is a great achievement having already been moved up a division after the start of the season, and the players deserve a huge amount of credit for their commitment, effort and desire.
I must also thank our bus driver Derek Barrott, Kay Lathey and especially Dave Carpenter for supporting the team both on and off the pitch.
