Slough Town Football Club are offering supporters the chance to win tickets to Non-League Finals Day on Sunday 21st May!
Non-League Finals Day returns for 2017 offering fans the unique opportunity to watch two cup finals for the price of one. The Wembley double header takes place on Sunday 21st May, kicking off with The Buildbase FA Vase final, followed by The Buildbase FA Trophy final. Northern Counties East League champions Cleethorpes Town take on Northern League champions South Shields in the Vase while there’s an all National League battle in the Trophy final between Macclesfield Town and York City.
We have two pairs of tickets to give away, courtesy of the organisers of Non-League Day. To enter, all you need to do is reply to either of the pinned messages on our Twitter and Facebook pages and let us know what your favourite moment or highlight was from the Rebels’ homecoming season, which saw the club return to Slough after over 13 years in exile - perhaps even with a photo or video! The competition will be open for entries until 23:59 on Friday 12th May, after which we will pick separate winners from each of Twitter and Facebook, each of whom will receive two tickets. Please note that the prize does not include travel expenses to and from Wembley on the day.
James Doe, founder of Non-League Day, provided us with the following message.
“Last season Wembley Stadium connected by EE hosted the first ever Non-League Finals Day - a huge success with over 46,000 fans in attendance for two shock results. Despite the presence of club mascot ‘Ronaldo’ the bull, favourites Hereford FC were beaten 4-1 by Morpeth Town in the Vase final. In the Trophy final, FC Halifax Town won 1-0 against National League play-off winners Grimsby Town.
“With tickets priced at only £25 adults, £10 concessions and £1 kids it represents great value too. Not only this but for group bookings of 9 or more, the price of adult tickets halves to just £12.50.
“The record attendance for an FA Trophy final is 53,262 and we believe we should be able to beat that if we, as a community, see the value of the day and come together.
“With interest in the non-league game rising all the time, this is a great opportunity to celebrate what we have and enjoy a great day out. It could be a defining moment. Be part of it.”
