Slough Town Under 12s are crowned champions.

After several weeks with no games, Slough Town U12s travelled to George Green yesterday (Sunday) for what was the League decider. The boys faced GG Junior Blacks needing a win to secure the Division 2 title.

The lads played with composure and a quiet determination. The scoring was opened with an own goal after about 10 minutes and added to by Steven before the end of the half. Even then it was a slightly nervy half of football.

Going into the break two goals up calmed the nerves a bit. Daanish added to the tally quickly in the second half, but GG pulled one back.

Taylor and Rio added to the score, with several other chances being saved or going slightly wide or high of the goal.

There was still time for a late penalty which was coolly converted by Alfie T, sealing a 6-1 victory and the top spot for the young Rebels.

Huge congratulations to the boys and to the management/coaching team of Mark and Oscar Betts and Tommy Attrell. The boys have come so far this season, have only lost one league game and next week meet Burnham Junior Reds in the League Cup semi final.

This is even more of a great result given that four of the players, including the two highest scorers were missing. With the exception of the keeper, every player has scored during the season, and we now know who is taking any penalties next week!

A special mention must go to the GG keeper who played a blinder making several good saves.

We are very proud of the boys!

Slough Town U14s took a giant step towards securing their First Division status next season with a vital hard fought win against Cookham Dean.

Strong winds made playing conditions difficult and the boys had the wind against them in the first half and had to dig deep to keep out wave after wave of wind-assisted attacks from Cookham. But not only did they manfully defend, they counter attacked at speed through Philbert Arko and took the lead.

More stout defending, lead by captain Tom McFarlane was again rewarded by another counter attack and thumping finish from Philbert.

The second half started with lots of good chances for Slough but an injury to Philbert gave the Cookham defence a break. However, the depleted Slough side held on and ground out a vitally important win.
