Dear all, firstly I would like to say a massive thank you to chairman Steve Easterbrook, General Manager John Porter and First Team Managers Neil Baker and Jon Underwood for deeming me worthy of a testimonial. I feel extremely proud, privileged and humbled by this decision.
Since I became club therapist I can honestly say I have loved every minute, and whilst I have made sacrifices through good and bad times, I would not change a thing.
I would like to thank my family, wife Sue, and daughters Aimee and Laura who have always supported me. I would also give thanks to the managers, players and supporters who have been part of my journey. I am extremely honoured to receive this testimonial and it is my hope the game will be a celebration of our football club.
This news comes to me at the end of a tough week where I had to miss the game at Hitchin. I was having an MRI scan in hospital, as since Christmas my health has been deteriorating.
On the 16th of February I was diagnosed with a serious medical condition, and as a result means I will be receiving aggressive treatment to treat the disease.
The chairman and managers are fully aware of the situation and have offered me great support. I will continue in my role whilst I am physically able to, and I will continue to maintain my high standards and give it everything.
With God’s will and the support of family, friends and the football club I can do this.
That is all for now. God bless you all,
Kev
