Looking Ahead: Biggleswade Town
Written by Jon Underwood
Slough are boosted by the return of Gavin James and Lee Togwell, as well as Guy Hollis.
We look forward to the trip to Biggleswade this evening where we hope to continue our good form at a ground that has proved to be a tough place to visit in recent seasons.
Following the unfortunate injury to Mark Scott on Saturday we have been exploring various goalkeeping options and we are delighted to announce that last night we signed experienced goalkeeper Paul Strudley on Southern League forms.
'Struds' played a major role in Hungerford's promotion from our league last season, making 49 appearances in total and keeping an impressive 22 clean sheets in the league. Having been displaced this season he has been playing for runaway Combined Counties leaders Hartley Wintney and again has been in fine form.
The squad is also boosted by the return of Guy Hollis (work), Lee Togwell (suspension) and Gavin James (hamstring).
There is positive news also on Lewis Putman who will look to prove his fitness in the warm up tonight and if all goes well he will come in to contention for Saturday's game.
Squad: Paul Strudley, Sean Fraser, Paul Stonehouse, Nathan Smart, Mark Nisbet, Guy Hollis, Josh Jackman, Nathan Webb, Lee Togwell, Simon Dunn, Warren Harris, James Dobson, Manny Williams, Chris Flood, Callum Bunting, Gavin James.
