Slough Town Under 12s were in action on Sunday in the League Cup quarter-final.

The U12s took on Explorers, who were sitting near the top of the top division, on Sunday in the League Cup quarter-final.

Having gone one goal down very early on to a penalty, the lads kept their heads and managed to equalise near the end of the first half before one of the Explorers players suffered a significant injury. The Slough goal scorer was Rio.

The second half saw the stalemate remain with both sides playing some fantastic football.

The game went into extra time, the first half of which continued in the same vein and just as we were expecting to go to penalties, Taylor scored with a fabulous free kick to the complete delight of players and supporters alike.

It would be impossible to pick a man of the match as each and everyone gave it their all for the entire game.

To see the lads play like this and the team spirit makes all of the bad days in football worthwhile. They have come so far this season. Very proud of them all.

Downside of the day was the injury to the Explorers player which turned out to be a broken ankle. Everyone sends him their best wishes for a speedy recovery.
