All at Slough Town Football Club were saddened to learn of the passing of former first team player and manager Steve Browne today after a battle with cancer.
Steve played in the Football League before joining the Rebels as assistant manager to Graham Roberts in the early part of the 1998/99 season. He later took over the managerial position following the departure of Roberts.
Steve made 45 playing appearances for the club in total. After leaving the Rebels in 2003 he took up a position at Dover Athletic and went on to manage other clubs, including Boreham Wood.
Our thoughts are with Steve's family and friends at this difficult time.
