Slough Town Football Club, together with the Slough Town Supporters' Trust, was delighted to present Sebastian's Action Trust with a cheque for £920 at Saturday's home game against Hitchin Town at Arbour Park.
The 2016 Sponsored Historical Walk raised £1,721 in total, which was split between Sebastian's Action Trust and the Slough Town Supporters' Trust.
Sebastian's Action Trust is a local charity which supports families of seriously-ill children from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond by listening and responding to their unmet needs. The Trust believes that all families of seriously ill children should be able to have quality time together to relax, recharge and rebuild, never having to face life alone. Sebastian’s Action Trust has two main aims: providing holidays in their purpose-built holiday home; and providing emotional, social and practical support for children with life-threatening or life-limiting illnesses and their families.
The Trust has a Family Outreach Hub in Slough for families with seriously ill children to drop in and get advice and support to help them with the challenges they face. You can find out more on their website.
Thank you again to all those who walked to raise money for the Trust and this great charity, and also to those who sponsored the walkers. You can view the pre-walk promotion video and the video from the walk on the Media page of the Supporters' Trust website by clicking the link in the menu at the top of the website.
